Latefallen released their debut full-length album Bloody Kiss on May 1st. The first single “Bloody Kiss” has been receiving regular play on Canadian radio, satellite radio stations and popular video channels such as MuchMusic and MTV. To add to the momentum, Latefallen has been touring throughout Canada with no signs of slowing down.

Last year Latefallen opened the main-stage at the ‘Taste Of Chaos’ show in Toronto, featuring The Used, 30 Seconds To Mars, Aiden, Senses Fail and Chiodos, where they quickly sold out of the remaining copies of their self-titled EP. Latefallen has also played the Ernie Ball Stage of the Vans Warped Tour, thanks to the intense dedication of their on-line fan-base throughout the world (bands were determined by on-line votes). Since then, Latefallen has gone on the play sold-out shows, opening for acts such as Billy Talent, Cancer Bats, The Bronx and Priestess.

Latefallen has established itself as a Toronto underground icon, and is a favourite act at the famous Bovine Sex Club (Canada’s equivalent of CBGBs), where they can regularly be seen playing their high-energy set to a sweaty and diverse crowd.

The diversity of Latefallen’s fan-base is likely due to the fact that the band’s sound combines elements of metal and punk with what are essentially classic pop-rock structures, with catchy choruses and intricate, lyrical verses that explode into blistering mosh-pit-inducing breakdowns. This fusion of influences combine seamlessly into a sound that the band can truly call their own, and that fans have been clinging on to.

The band’s fiercely independent status has been paying off as of late, as record labels struggle to stay relevant, Latefallen is about as hands-on as it gets: Recording, booking, web design and management are just some of the hats these rockers wear. Embracing the chaotic nature of the internet music revolution has kept Latefallen one step ahead of many of their peers.

“Our music is heavy, high-energy and melodic. That’s what we offer the music scene. No bullshit, no indy-cred posturing and no excuses,” says vocalist Stephan LaCasse. “We have a tight, professional, high-energy show and we have achieved our own sound within a crowded genre.” Bloody Kiss was mixed by Michael Barbiero (G’NR, Metallica, Maroon5, Evans Blue).
